Original Tennessee Squirrel Dogs Approximately 12" in height and 18-23 pounds.

Will start treeing at 6 or 7 months old.

They are excellent pets and will tree squirrels, coons, opossums, ground hogs, or any other small game that will climb.  Often used in Bear pack of larger dogs.  They will jump in and bite or pinch the bear and give the bigger dogs a chance to bite.  2or 3 in a 15 to 20 dog pack.

They do well as a family pet, we have 2 that live in our home.  They are good with children.  They will not bite people unless they are really abused.

They will dig out moles in your yard, catch rats in the barn or outbuildings.

As in all breeds, some are better than others.  Training and time spent will make all dogs much better.  Only 1 or 2 litters per year.
